Located in the centre of old town Haarlem and within walking distance to everything this lovely city has to offer, this charming and quintessentially Dutch townhouse is fully-equipped with modern conveniences to allow you to appreciate its old-style charm in comfort.
Haarlem is a beautiful cobble-stoned city, 15 minutes by train from the centre of Amsterdam (with trains leaving every 10-15 minutes) and with a direct express bus connection to Schiphol airport.

The entire house is available to you when you select this property and it can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people.
(We also have a baby bed available if requested for a small additional charge).

Downstairs is an open-plan lounge, dining and modern kitchen area, with French doors opening to a relaxing garden courtyard (complete with BBQ).
Upstairs, there is a modern bathroom, laundry and a spacious light-filled loft-style bedroom with an adjacent sitting area which can be curtained off and converted into a second bedroom (with a comfortable double sofabed).
You can also make use of all the amenities provided, including central heating, fully-equipped modern kitchen, dishwasher, microwave/oven, WiFi, stereo systems, alarm clock, washing machine, clothes dryer, iron, hairdryer and BBQ! We also provide all towels and linen.

Haarlem is the provincial capital of North Holland, located on the banks of the Spaarne river and is a relaxed city, full of picturesque canals, charming streets, hidden gardens (Hofjes), quality restaurants and many of the best Dutch museums. The city is a historical beer brewing centre and has a lively culture and active nightlife. A one minute walk from the house will lead you to ‘Kleine Houtstraat’, a pretty boutique shopping street voted to be the best in The Netherlands many times.
The popular beach village of Zandvoort is also only 15 minutes by train from the city centre and Haarlem is very central for day trips throughout the Netherlands with excellent road and train systems and extensive bicycle routes.

The neighbourhood surrounding Charming House is quiet and Haarlem is a safe city to walk at night time. Bicycles are available to hire within the city; however, the house is very central and the city easily accessible on foot. Buses and trains are just a short walk from the house. The train station is located within a 10-15 minute walk or quick bus ride.

As travellers ourselves, we are aware how difficult communication can be in a foreign country and that transport delays can occur. For this reason, we have a locked keybox check-in system which allows you to arrive at a time that suits you (within our advised times), without needing to stay in contact with your arrival time.
You will also find some complimentary drinks and traditional Dutch sweets to welcome you upon arrival.

*** Please be aware if booking with children or elderly people, that we have very steep and traditional Dutch stairs that may prove a mobility issue.

However, we have had many senior guests and children stay in the past that haven't found this to be an issue and have embraced them as part of the charm of living like the Dutch. ***
