The art and objects from all over the world spark your curiosity about the enormous cultural diversity that enriches the world. The fresh and contemporary exhibitions tell stories about humankind around the world and show that, despite cultural differences, we’re essentially all the same: human.

Het Tropenmuseum is een museum over mensen, gevestigd in een van de mooiste originele museumgebouwen van Nederland. Vanuit de monumentale Lichthal is er een weids uitzicht op wat het museum te bieden heeft. De objecten vertellen stuk voor stuk een menselijk verhaal en maken nieuwsgierig naar de enorme culturele diversiteit die de wereld rijk is.
