De Adelaar is a web gallery situated in Heikant, on the border of Holland and Belgium – twenty-five minutes from Antwerp, and two hours from Amsterdam. Run by Jan and Marie-José van den Adel, De Adelaar specializes in unique, one-of-a-kind, rare collectables from the distant and not-so-distant past. Their collection is housed in a 500m² warehouse at their house, which customers are always welcome to visit, and includes decorative antiques, vintage designs, and garden antiques as well as industrial, art-deco, mid-century modern furniture and ornamental treasures. The selection here is guided by Jan and Marie-José's desire to search for a wide variety of authentic items.
