In the museum the recovered remains of the planes are on display.But CRASH also tells the stories of the crewmembers and their mission with photos,documents,newspaper clippings and personal objects etc.This allows the visitors to see how couragous and dedicated the crew members of the allied forces were in their effort to liberate Holland and Europe. The story however would be incomplete without information about german planes that crashed on duch soil. One of the most important is a reconstruction of the Duch Fokker DXXI nr.229, entirely built up from excavated parts. The CRASH museum is the only location in the world where this plane is on display .This fighter has the markings of a fatal dogfight in may 1940 and was recovered by CRASH in 1993. Also interesting displays on radios, Stories about Secret Agents and Dutch Resistance and of course visit our reconstructed Spitfire, full size in RAF no. 322 squadron markings.
