Vinayagar Temple Nederland

Sri Varatharaja Selva Vinayagar Temple was established in 1991 in the Northern city of Den Helder in the Netherlands. The temple was established with the view to fostering the cultural, linguistic and religious values amongst the migrant Tamil community living in Netherlands, the Netherlanders and also the other communities. In July 2003 a new building was consecrated according to Hindu tradition on land that was purchased for the construction of a new temple. The temple is a nucleus for the community to meet, practice the Hindu values and traditions and to foster these amongst the community, both amongst the adults, children and especially the youth.
